Every body willing to play, hot weather, hard pitch, strong tackles, good start from the team, and a superb try from Hennie after a remarkable work from the forwards, outpacing their back line to score THE try of the Dragons…
Then… we slowed down, they came back in force but we defend the line heroically and we turn 5-0 at half time, Ryan’s speech re-motivates us to attack the 2nd half keeping the game plan (yes, we had a game plan!), strong pick and goes in the forwards before releasing to the backs…Unfortunately this is a risky game and 2 mistakes made them counter attack and score twice…
In a nutshell – A good game to watch, a physical encounter, and tough conditions…All the reasons why we all love Rugby! Keep it up boys…
Dragon of the day – Ernie for being able to make Doktor stop talking for at least a minute and a half (Myself, 5 years in Russia and I cannot present such a great success yet…)
Dog – Hard to find one as we all fought well so I’ll leave it to the Saturday committee to react to this MMMR and tell us their awards and nominations…
