It's chilling, it's snowing and the anglosaxons were snoring... Dragons renewed with victory to inaugurate their new ground (big pitch and amazingly there's grass on it). As usual Forum came in great numbers and were warming up while Dragons were still in the changing room or arriving. Well, looks like ploychronic people won over the monochronic ones...

Dragons secured their victory in the first half thanks to a great pack (big scrums, good cleaning in the rucks and gaining almost every single line out). With some clever kicks from Misha over the defense and Sasha Tsvetkov's runs (2 tries) Forum was quickly outpaced. Kostya scored a try following a great driving from the forwards and some good phases in the front. Just before half time on a lucky kick Forums players managed to zigzag through the Dragons defense and the missed tackles to score their only try.

2nd half was more approximative. Sasha being out it made it more difficult to run the ball in the backs. Kicks were more approximative and the ball did not stay enough with the forwards who had a clear advantage over Forum's pack. Because of this lack of 2-3 phases in the front Dragons did not create enough gaps and were unable to pierce through the line (even with a few good charges from Tyson). With the subs coming in the Dragons ended up with an experimental back line composed of 2 Asians (Firdaus and Mitsuo), 2 Lemberskys and a student from Granit.

Overall a good first half, a great pack, simple rugby, few mistakes, individual talent and a victory gained in the first half.

Quote of the game: 20 minutes after kick-off Johnny comes up to me complaining about the weather, "Sometimes you really ask yourself why you are in life..."
Gay moment of the day: Oleg Pivovarov and Danila swoping shorts in the middle of the game.
Dragon of the day: Oleg P. for catching almost every single ball in the line outs
Dogs of the day: Rem and myself for running into each other on a 10 metre high up and under...
Newcomer: Mitsuo, first Japanese Dragon. 12 years in Moscow and only found about us now.
Referee of the day: Couldn't stop him from talking. Tried as much as he could to call Forum's defense offside.
